Why do I need a Key for signing up on a Mailing List?
Your e-mail address is usually visible to hundreds or thousands of mailing list subscribers. A mailing list is a great place for spammers to collect e-mail addresses to send Spam to. Creating a keyed e-mail address for signing up to a mailing list gives you have full control of your Inbox. Anytime you start receiving Spam, you can find out if your keyed e-mail address was given out by your being on the mailing list. If that is the case, then you can effectively shut it down. All you have to do is change the key for this mailing list in your address book, and then change the e-mail address on your respective mailing list provider.
Step 2
Type in the name of your mailing list key in the Key Name field.
ZoEmail will automatically generate a random key for you. In this example, the randomly generated key is "smarter29965".
*Notice the e-mail address to be given out will be johndoe.smarter29965@zoemail.net
You may either keep this randomly generated key and proceed to Step 4 or customize it by going to Step 3.
Step 3 Type in
a word that you would like to be the custom key in the Key field.
In this example, we choose to call the key "Hobby101".
*Notice the e-mail address to be given out will be johndoe.hobby101@zoemail.net
**Key is not case sensitive, and must be a minimum of five characters.
