ZoEmail works using patented address control
technology developed by AT&T Labs. We call
this innovation 'keys'. The keys are simply a
unique string of letters and/or numbers that appear
after the (.) in the first part of a ZoEmail address.
For example:
sally.superstar@zoemail.net
In this example, "superstar" is
the key |
Whenever a ZoEmail user sends an e-mail, the
recipient of that message is automatically given
a unique key as part of the ZoEmail user's address.
This "Keyed Address" (sally.superstar@zoemail.net
in our example) allows the recipient to send e-mail
back to the ZoEmail user.
The system automatically remembers these keys,
and messages sent with valid keys pass through
transparently.
Messages sent without a valid key will not get
through, making ZoEmail a powerful tool that allows
users to virtually eliminate unwanted e-mail (spam).
