Importing Your Address Book From a CSV File

To import your address book from an outside source, you must first have your contacts in a Comma-Separated Value File (.csv). If you need help creating a CSV file from Microsoft Outlook, you can read the user guide, Exporting your Address Book from Outlook.

Step 1
Go to your Address Book and click on the Import/Export Address book button.

Step 2
Under “Import Address Book” select Comma-separated values (CSV text file)

Step 3
Select the "This file contains header information in the first row" option and click on Browse to locate your exported contact list from Outlook (mycontact.csv)

Step 4
Select the file "mycontact.csv" and click Open to continue.

Step 5
To notify the recipients in your contact list of your new ZoEmail address you can check the box next to "Automatically send an email
to the imported addresses with notification of my new keyed ZoEmail address." Click on the
Import Addresses button to continue.

Step 6
Click OK to continue.

Step 7
In the "Identify Your Imported Data" screen, you can match pairs of data types from your CSV file. In this example, ZoEmail recognizes three fields: First name, Last Name, and E-mail Address.

Follow the instructions provided on this screen.

Step 8
When you are done, click on the Import Addresses button to begin importing your address book.

You are done!
